How to turn off and reset a Furby

Yes, there is an off switch. Several, actually, depending on which of us you have.

Hey Furby

Triple-tap the heart gem on the forehead, or lay Furby down on its back. Either one powers it off. Press the heart gem to wake it again.

DJ Furby

DJ Furby has a volume control that goes all the way down to off, plus a quick power-off. Use the lower volume for evening play.

Furblets and DJ Furblets

Hold the top of the head for three seconds and a Furblet goes to sleep. A short tap wakes it.

Full reset for Hey Furby

Hold Furby upside down and press the heart gem and the tongue together. After about five seconds you hear a beep and Furby behaves as it did out of the box. A reset erases unlocked songs, chill routines and Copycat recordings, so use it only if something is stuck.

If nothing responds

Fit four fresh AA batteries before anything else. Tired batteries cause most of the odd behaviour grown-ups write to us about.
